You can now use your MeetNotes meetings inside ChatGPT. Record the meeting the way you already do, on your phone in the room, on your computer, or by sending the notetaker to a Zoom, Google Meet or Teams call. Then open ChatGPT and ask: "What did we decide about the delivery date?", "List my open action items from this week", or "Give me the minutes from Tuesday's site visit as a Word file." ChatGPT answers from your own meetings and links back to the meeting it used.
To set it up, open MeetNotes in ChatGPT (or search MeetNotes in ChatGPT's apps), click Connect and sign in to your MeetNotes account. That's all. The steps are below, followed by what you can ask and what ChatGPT can and cannot do with your meetings.
Why this is better than pasting a transcript into ChatGPT
Plenty of people already do the manual version: record on the phone, copy the transcript, paste it into a chat and ask for a summary. It works for one short meeting. It stops working when:
- You want last month's meeting. Nobody keeps transcripts lying around to paste. With the connection, ChatGPT searches all of them.
- You want an answer across meetings. "When did the client first ask for the change?" means looking at five meetings, not one.
- The speaker names matter. A pasted transcript often says "Speaker 1" and "Speaker 2". MeetNotes keeps the names you confirmed in the app.
- The meeting was in more than one language. Hindi and English in the same sentence, or Gujarati with English terms, is how many of our users actually talk. The transcript and minutes are already done when ChatGPT reads them.
- You need a document to send. ChatGPT can hand you the minutes as a PDF, Word or Markdown file, laid out the same way as in the app.

How to connect MeetNotes to ChatGPT
- Open ChatGPT on the web or the desktop app.
- Open the MeetNotes listing in ChatGPT, or go to ChatGPT's apps and search for MeetNotes.
- Click Connect. A MeetNotes sign-in page opens in your browser.
- Sign in the way you already do: email code, Google or Apple. Approve the connection.
- Back in ChatGPT, ask something about a recent meeting. Mentioning MeetNotes in the first question ("Use MeetNotes to…") helps ChatGPT pick the right app.
You never type a password or an API key into ChatGPT. To stop access, disconnect MeetNotes in ChatGPT's settings.

What you can ask
These all work on the meetings in your account:
- "Use MeetNotes to find what we decided about pricing last week."
- "What action items do I own, and which are due this week?"
- "What exactly did Priya say about the vendor contract? Quote her."
- "Summarise all my meetings with the Mehta project since 1 September."
- "Export the minutes of my last board meeting as a Word file."
- "Send the MeetNotes notetaker to this Zoom link at 3 pm." (paste the link)
ChatGPT reads the finished minutes: summary, key points, decisions and action items with owners, plus any extra sections your meeting format has, such as a site-visit checklist or a lawyer's matter notes. When it quotes someone, it reads the transcript, so the words are what was actually said and not a paraphrase.
Recording still happens in MeetNotes
ChatGPT does not listen to your meeting. You record in one of three places:
- In the room: the MeetNotes app on your phone, or on your Mac or Windows computer. This is what MeetNotes is built for: the in-person meeting, site visit, client call on speaker or classroom where no bot can join. See recording an in-person meeting on your phone.
- Online: invite the MeetNotes Notetaker to a Google Meet, Zoom or Teams call, from the app or straight from ChatGPT.
- An existing file: import an audio recording in the app.
When processing finishes, the meeting shows up in ChatGPT the next time you ask. If you ask while it is still processing, ChatGPT can check and tell you when it is ready.
Your meetings, your permission
The connection can read the meetings your account can open, including meetings shared with you in a workspace. It can search, read transcripts, list tasks and make private export files. Sending the notetaker to a call spends your MeetNotes minutes, the same as doing it in the app.
It cannot delete meetings, change your balance or buy anything. Meetings recorded in a clinical format are kept out of the connection entirely. Anything ChatGPT has already shown in a chat stays in that chat, so disconnecting stops new access but does not reach back into old conversations.

FAQ
Is the ChatGPT app free? Connecting is free on every MeetNotes account. Reading and asking about meetings you have already recorded does not use minutes. Recording, importing audio and the notetaker use your MeetNotes minutes, the same as in the app.
Does it work in Hindi, Gujarati or other languages? Yes. MeetNotes transcribes and writes minutes in the language of the meeting, including mixed-language meetings like Hinglish. You can ask ChatGPT in English about a Hindi meeting, or ask in Hindi.
Can other people in the meeting see my ChatGPT questions? No. The connection is to your MeetNotes account only. Your questions and ChatGPT's answers stay in your ChatGPT account. The people you met with see nothing unless you share the minutes with them.
