The meeting is not at your Mac. Six people round a table, a client's office, a site visit: put a phone down and MeetNotes records the room — on Android, iPhone, Windows or Mac.
The meeting is a call you are not hosting from your laptop. The MeetNotes Notetaker joins Zoom, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams from its link, and the minutes arrive when the call ends.
You need to send a record to people outside the chat: minutes as a PDF or editable Word file, or a link that opens with no account, with decisions and action items that carry an owner and a due date.
The room switches language mid-sentence — Hindi and English, Gujarati and English. MeetNotes never asks which language the meeting is in, and writes the minutes in any of 100+.
You still want ChatGPT. MeetNotes is an app inside ChatGPT: connect it once and ask what was decided, who owns what, or for the exact words someone used, across every meeting you recorded.

When ChatGPT Record
still fits
You are on a paid ChatGPT plan, you work at a Mac, and the meeting happens there — a call on your laptop, or a brainstorm at your desk. Record is already in the app you use, with nothing else to install.
You want the summary to become something else straight away: the notes are saved as a canvas in your ChatGPT history, so the next message can turn them into an email, a project plan or code.
You want one tool for everything: the meeting notes sit in the same chat history as the rest of your work.
Where they fit: If you already pay for ChatGPT, work on a Mac and most of your meetings happen on that Mac, Record is the shortest path there is: it is in the app you have open, it handles sessions of up to four hours, and the notes land in the same place you will use them next. We would not tell you to add a second tool for that. And if you do use both, they meet in the middle: MeetNotes connects to ChatGPT, so the meetings MeetNotes recorded are one question away in the same chat.
