MeetNotes is now on Telegram, as @GetMeetNotesBot. Send it a voice note, or forward an audio recording of a meeting, and the minutes come back in the same chat: a summary, the decisions and the action items, followed by a PDF. You can also ask it questions, like "/todo" for your open tasks or "summarise my last meeting".
Open MeetNotes on Telegram and tap Start.
Why Telegram
If your team already talks on Telegram, a lot of meetings end up there anyway: someone records the discussion and drops the file in a chat, a colleague sends a long voice note from site, or you record a quick update for yourself on the way home. Getting notes from those usually means saving the file, opening another app and importing it.
Now you forward it to MeetNotes, the same way you would forward it to a person. The notes come back where you already are.
How to start (about a minute)
- Open the bot. Tap t.me/GetMeetNotesBot, or search for @GetMeetNotesBot in Telegram, and tap Start.
- Connect your MeetNotes account once. The bot sends you a Connect MeetNotes button. Tap it and sign in with your MeetNotes account. That is the only setup.
- Send or forward a recording. A voice note, an audio file, or a meeting recording someone sent you. The bot replies that it has it, and sends the minutes when they are ready.
Sent a recording before connecting? It is kept safe and processed as soon as you connect your account.
New to MeetNotes? Get the app first. Every account starts with 100 free minutes.
What comes back
For a recording or a voice note: the minutes in the chat (a short summary, the decisions, and the action items) and then a PDF of the full notes that you can forward to anyone. The people you send the PDF to do not need MeetNotes.
For a question: type it, and MeetNotes answers from your own meetings.
- /todo gives your open to-dos
- /last, or "summarise my last meeting", gives the notes of your latest meeting
- /balance tells you how many minutes you have left
- "What did we decide about the budget?" searches what was actually said
/help shows everything the bot can do.
Long recordings and file size
Telegram lets a bot receive files of up to 20 MB, so anything up to that size goes straight into the chat. For a voice note, 20 MB is roughly one and a half to two hours of talking. A long meeting recorded on a phone or a recorder can be bigger. In that case the bot sends you a link where you can upload the file instead, and the minutes still come back to the chat.
The bot takes audio: voice notes, audio files, and recordings sent as a file.
Any language, or several
There is no language to set. A voice note that moves between Hindi and English, or one in Spanish, Arabic or French, comes back written the way it was spoken. MeetNotes works in many languages, and the bot itself replies in several, so it can talk to you in yours.
Minutes and payment
Recordings sent on Telegram use the same minutes balance as the MeetNotes app. Every account starts with 100 free minutes. When you need more, top up in the MeetNotes app, or right inside Telegram with Telegram Stars: send /buy to see the packs. Minutes you buy either way go into the same balance.
Private chats only
The bot works in a private chat between you and MeetNotes. If someone adds it to a group, it stays quiet, so it never answers a question about your meetings in front of other people. MeetNotes only receives what you send to the bot itself; it cannot see your other Telegram chats.
Other places MeetNotes works
Telegram is one more way in. The same account works everywhere:
- The app on Android, iPhone and Mac, to record a meeting in the room.
- WhatsApp: send a recording or voice note to +91 80 3145 2999.
- ChatGPT: the MeetNotes app inside ChatGPT, to ask about your meetings.
- Claude: add MeetNotes as a connector and ask about your meetings there.
- Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams: the MeetNotes Notetaker joins the call and the minutes arrive when it ends.
FAQ
What is the MeetNotes Telegram bot called?
@GetMeetNotesBot. Open it at t.me/GetMeetNotesBot and tap Start.
Do I need the MeetNotes app to use the Telegram bot?
You need a MeetNotes account, which you connect once with a one-tap link from the bot. If you do not have an account yet, install the app first. After that you can send recordings and ask about your meetings from Telegram.
How big a file can I send?
Up to 20 MB straight into the chat, which is roughly one and a half to two hours of voice note. For a bigger file, the bot sends you a link to upload it, and the minutes still come back in Telegram.
Does it use my MeetNotes minutes?
Yes. A recording sent on Telegram uses minutes from the same balance as the app. You can top up in the MeetNotes app or with Telegram Stars by sending /buy.
Can I add the bot to a group?
No. It works in private chats only, so your meetings and to-dos are never shown to a group.
