How to record a meeting in MeetNotes

Tap the microphone button, choose Record meeting, put the phone on the table and tap Stop when the meeting ends. The minutes arrive a minute or two later.

  1. Open MeetNotes and tap the round microphone button in the middle of the bottom bar. (Long-press it to start recording straight away.)
  2. Tap Record meeting ("In the room, on this phone").
  3. Put the phone flat on the table, screen up, between the people talking.
  4. Have your meeting. There is no language to choose and no speaker setup.
  5. When the meeting ends, tap Stop. The recording uploads and processing starts.
  6. Open the meeting when it is ready, usually in a minute or two. You get the minutes (summary, decisions, action items with owners), the transcript by speaker, and a PDF you can share.

Good to know

  • Each minute of recording uses one minute of your balance. Every new account gets 100 free minutes.
  • Keep MeetNotes on screen (not swiped away) for long meetings. That is the safest way to record for hours.
  • Tell everyone you are recording and get a clear yes before you start. The recorder has a line to note that you asked the room.
  • Recording starts only when you tap. If the room goes quiet for 5 minutes, MeetNotes asks if you are still recording and stops 3 minutes later if nobody answers. Turn that off in Settings, under Recording, with Auto-stop when the room goes quiet.
Taking meeting minutes on a phone, start to finish.
