How to pause a recording or mark an important moment
While recording on your phone, tap Pause to stop capturing for a while and Resume to carry on, or tap Mark to flag a moment you want to find again.
- Start a recording: tap the round microphone button in the middle of the bottom bar, then Record meeting.
- To take a break, tap Pause. Nothing is recorded while paused.
- Tap Resume to carry on in the same meeting.
- To flag an important moment, tap Mark. The button shows how many marks you have made.
- Tap Stop when the meeting ends.
Good to know
- Paused time is not recorded, so it doesn't use minutes.
- The Mac recorder has no Pause. On an iPhone recording, the Apple Watch can Mark, Pause, Resume and Finish too. See recording with Apple Watch.
- Recorded one long session that was really two meetings? You can split it into two afterwards.
