When one person teaches for most of the recording, MeetNotes uses the lecture format on its own. To be sure, choose Lecture (student) before you record, or Lecture (teacher) if you are the one teaching (choosing a format).
What a lecture becomes
- An outline in the order it was taught, key concepts and definitions, formulas, worked examples, every question from the class with its answer, announcements and likely exam questions.
- A Study section: a quiz, flashcards, the hardest ideas explained simply, and a one-page revision sheet.
- Nothing is added from outside the recording. What could not be heard clearly is left out rather than guessed.
Good to know
- Sit in the front half of the room, or put the phone near the lecturer (where to put the phone).
- Ask the lecturer first and follow your college's rules on recording.
- More: lecture recorder and quiz and flashcards from one lecture.
