Privacy

Private until you share

Minutes come to you in a direct message, never into a channel on their own. When you share to a channel, only the summary, decisions and to-dos go there: the recording, the transcript and the PDF stay with you. Personal Self notes are never sent to Slack. Remove MeetNotes from your workspace any time and it stops at once.

FAQ

Common questions

How do I get meeting minutes in Slack?

Add MeetNotes to Slack and connect your MeetNotes account from the message it sends you. After that, the minutes of every meeting you record arrive as a Slack message from MeetNotes, with the PDF.

Can MeetNotes post the summary to a channel?

Yes. Every minutes message has a Share to a channel button. Pick the channel and MeetNotes posts the summary, decisions and to-dos there. For a private channel, invite MeetNotes to it first with /invite @MeetNotes.

Does the whole channel see my transcript?

No. A shared post has the summary, decisions and to-dos only. The recording, transcript and PDF stay in your own messages and in the MeetNotes app.

Can I send a recording to MeetNotes in Slack?

Yes. Send an audio or video file in your direct chat with MeetNotes and you get the minutes back in the same chat.

Can I turn off the message after each meeting?

Yes. Type /meetnotes stop. Type /meetnotes start to turn it back on.

Is it free?

Adding MeetNotes to Slack is free. Recordings use your MeetNotes minutes the same way as in the app, and every account starts with free minutes.
