How to

Three ways to bring a file in

01

Import

Tap Import on the home screen and pick one or more files.

02

Share

From WhatsApp, Files, a recorder app or email, share the audio to MeetNotes.

03

Automatically

On Android, point MeetNotes at your call-recordings folder and new calls are processed as they arrive.

Each file becomes its own transcript and notes. A batch of files uploads one at a time and carries on if one file fails.

Fit

When another tool fits better

If you need subtitle files for a video, or you transcribe hundreds of hours of media in bulk, a dedicated file-transcription service is built for that. MeetNotes is built for conversations: it separates the speakers and writes up what was decided and who will do what. How it compares: MeetNotes vs TurboScribe.

FAQ

Common questions

How do I convert audio to text for free?

Every MeetNotes account starts with 100 free minutes, which covers importing and transcribing audio files. After that there are monthly plans in the app, and minute packs that never expire.

Which file formats are supported?

MP3, M4A, WAV, AAC, OGG, OPUS, FLAC, M4B and CAF audio, and MP4, MOV and WEBM video, where the audio track is transcribed. Up to 300 MB per file.

Can I transcribe a WhatsApp voice note?

Yes. Share the voice note from WhatsApp to MeetNotes and it is transcribed like any other recording.

Can it transcribe Hindi or mixed Hindi-English audio?

Yes. There is no language to set, and sentences that switch between Hindi and English are transcribed as spoken. Other Indian languages are supported too.

Does it separate speakers?

Yes. The transcript is labelled by voice, and you can confirm the names so they carry through the notes.
