MeetNotes for Google Tasks

Every meeting’s to-dos,
in Google Tasks

Connect MeetNotes to Google Tasks once and a task list called MeetNotes appears in your Google account. From then on, the to-dos from every meeting you record become tasks in that list: the task, the due date when one was said, who it is for, and a link back to the meeting. You see them in Gmail, in Google Calendar and in the Google Tasks app. Tick one off in Google or in MeetNotes and the other one follows.

For: People who run their day from Gmail and Google Calendar: client calls, team meetings, one-to-ones, interviews, in-person meetings recorded on the phone

How it works

Connect once, then just record

01

A MeetNotes list appears

It sits next to your other task lists. Meetings from the last week go in straight away.

03

In the room with the MeetNotes app, or with the notetaker in a Zoom, Meet or Teams call.

04

Tick them off anywhere

When the minutes are ready, the to-dos are in your list. Done in Google or in the app, and the other one follows.

Where you see them

Right where your day already is

Gmail

Open the Tasks panel on the side of Gmail and your meeting to-dos are there.

Google Calendar

A to-do with a due date shows on that day in your calendar.

Google Tasks app

On your phone, with the rest of your lists.

Back to the meeting

Every task has a link to the meeting it came from, with the full minutes.

Privacy

Only your tasks

MeetNotes only asks for access to your tasks, nothing else in your Google account, and only writes into its own MeetNotes list. Personal Self notes are never sent. Turn it off or disconnect any time; tasks already in your list stay there.

FAQ

Common questions

How do I get meeting action items into Google Tasks?

Connect MeetNotes to Google Tasks once. A MeetNotes task list appears in your Google account, and from then on the to-dos from every meeting you record are added there when the minutes are ready.

Do the tasks have due dates?

Yes, when a day was said in the meeting, like "by Thursday". Google Tasks keeps the day, not the time. The words as spoken and who the to-do is for are in the task’s notes.

If I complete a task in Google, is it done in MeetNotes too?

Yes. MeetNotes picks it up within about five minutes, and a tick in the app shows in Google right away.

Will I see them in Gmail and Google Calendar?

Yes. Google Tasks shows your lists in the side panel of Gmail and Google Calendar, and tasks with a due date appear on that day in your calendar.

What about meetings I recorded before connecting?

Meetings from the last week go over as soon as you connect. An older meeting goes over the first time you tick one of its to-dos in MeetNotes.

What can MeetNotes see in my Google account?

Only your tasks. It does not ask for your email, calendar, contacts or files, and it only writes into its own MeetNotes list.

Can I stop it?

Yes. Turn it off or disconnect Google Tasks in MeetNotes any time. You can also remove MeetNotes from your Google account settings.
